Maureen Phelps opened the Andover Acupuncture Clinic in 2008, following four years of study at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, Berkshire. Her BSc combined two styles of acupuncture: Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Element system. She has since undertaken extensive further training and offers a varied portfolio of treatments.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on physical signs and symptoms, whereas Five Element Acupuncture gives focus to the emotions and spirit. By offering a combination of these two forms of acupuncture, we aim to achieve the very best outcome for our patients. Alongside acupuncture, we offer additional therapies including electro-acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, cupping, taping, Tui Na (Chinese massage) and guasha.
